A solitary Sulfur Cosmos bloomed at the edge of the road. All around it were dried carcasses of dead plants. The act of surviving the harshest summers in years and showing that it did, and even blooming cheerfully before the advent of rains is amazingly awe inspiring. My respect and admiration for the fighter and the survivor that overcame adversity.
