The never ending fascination of the moon cannot be explained in mere words by Selenophiles like me. Every phase of its ever changing beauteous countenance shows different nuances that are equally fascinating and captivating. Gazing at the face of the moon ( & the tiny Venus close to it) in the wintry breeze last night sent a shiver down the spine : a combination of excitement, pleasure and the effect of the wind chill.

Little wonder so many poets have written so much on the heavenly beauty.
